iPhone 4S battery life problem not really an issue

Well, it is quite obvious that consumers don’t care about the reports about the “sketchy” battery life.
Consumer electronics market is booming, and it looks like Apple is still enjoying increasing demand for more smartphones with new features like digital camera and dual-core CPU for gaming. According to a report posted by Guardian, the Cupertino, California-based computer and smartphone company has sold more smartphone thanks to the new Apple iPhone 4S, the iPhone 4-like smartphone on steroids.

The report is claiming that Apple has sold more than three times as many iPhones in October in United Kingdom. The volume is the biggest so far this year compared to the previous three months and the iPhone 4S is the most popular because 75% of the consumers are considered as “upgraders” or consumer electronics buyers who are already owners of the older version/s of the iPhone. The data is from Kantar Worldpanel ComTech.
In October alone, still according to the report, Apple’s iPhone took 42.8 percent of UK smartphone sales, while Google Android took the remaining 35 percent during the same period. The iPhone 4S was launched in United Kingdom last month, so it looks like the dual-core with 8-megapixel camera helped a lot, aside from the novelty feature Siri, apparently.
The iPhone 4S is facing an issue regarding the battery life which is according to multiple reports, the new smartphone is losing battery juice at a fast rate. Apple said in a statement that the “small number” of iPhone 4S customers are getting poor battery life due to a software bug. Apple has issued a fix over the air, the iOS 5.0.1, but consumers still report the same problem.
Rumors say the iPhone 4S will get a follow-up update to address the issue, and the iOS 5.0.2 will likely arrive before the Christmas shopping season.
Well it looks like the brand loyalty is present and the so-called “iPhone 4S battery life problem” is not actually a big issue based on this new statistics. But here’s the catch, Apple is now facing a serious rival this month courtesy of Samsung and Google’s new Android operating system, the new Samsung Galaxy Nexus with the Google Android Ice Cream Sandwich operating system.
Can the iPhone 4S maintain its lead in the UK? Or Sammy and Google will retaliate using the Galaxy Nexus with HD screen, dual-core SoC and new polished platform?
