Galaxy Nexus (Prime) release date according to Best Buy listing

Best Buy’s new product page re-uses Nexus Prime (and not Galaxy Nexus), suggests November 27th release date.

Not once, but twice, Best Buy’s product page is starting the guessing game with a new listing claiming that Verizon’s Galaxy Nexus will use the name “Nexus Prime.” The retail chain is also adding that the first Google Android Ice Cream Sandwich smartphone will arrive on November 27th based on the listed date regarding the phone’s pricing.
According to Phandroid, Nexus Prime was the long-rumored name used by blogs and tech sites before the phone’s official announcement on October 19th in Asia.
Aside from the product’s Nexus Prime name and the possible release date, Best Buy’s page is also claiming that the phone will use the premium $299.99 tag price with the 2-year contract agreement. Apparently, a leaked document posted last week said that Verizon Wireless has planned to sell the Galaxy Nexus On Black Friday For $199, but due to unknown reason/s, the USA variant with Long Term Evolution is not yet been released.

Is the new Nexus Prime Best Buy page a product of erroneous typing? Or Verizon Wireless will use the name instead of the Galaxy Nexus to differentiate it from other variants with the HSPA+ technology? Either way, the new Best Buy page is adding yet another evidence that the release date of the device is near, and the possibility of a “November release date” is still acceptable.
Hmm, let’s see.
It looks like Google doesn’t know anything about the “Nexus Prime” brand name because the search engine giant’s product page for the United States still lists the Galaxy Nexus name. Plus, the US Galaxy Nexus product page clearly shows that the LTE/CDMA variant with 32GB of onboard storage for the US market is still called Galaxy Nexus and not Nexus Prime.
The Galaxy Nexus is not a Verizon Wireless exclusive device, but other carriers like AT&T and T-Mobile are not yet expected to release the device this year according to reports. AT&T is likely the next destination of the Galaxy Nexus here in the US due to the company’s Google+ status posting two weeks ago.
Another event worth mentioning is the tweet posted by third-party retailer Negri Electronics. The online retailer is suggesting that Verizon will deliver the first Galaxy Nexus stock on December 9th, so it looks like the December 8 release date rumor is possible aside from the November 27th date listed by Best Buy.
The Galaxy Nexus is the first Android Ice Cream Sandwich smartphone boasting an HD 4.65-inch full color screen with resolution of 720 x 1280 with pixel density of around 315 ppi. The Galaxy Nexus (or Nexus Prime if you want) is powered by Texas Instruments OMAP SoC clocked at 1.2GHz and 1GB of DDR2 RAM.
