T-Mobile iPhone to get a green signal if the merger will not push through?
T-Mobile USA doesn’t offer the iPhone yet, and it looks like they will not get it until next year if the merger drama will continue. iPhone 5 running on T-Mobile possible if the deal will not push through?
This year, tech sites think the merger has affected the iPhone T-Mobile plan, quoting the statement coming from the company, “T-Mobile USA remains an independent company,” adding that the AT&T deal is expected to be completed in 12 months.
And here’s the latest development regarding the merger,
AT&T has agreed to postpone the antitrust lawsuit amid strong opposition from the regulators and consumers, including the future of the T-Mobile iPhone 5.
Rumors say the iPhone 5 will get an October release date, but what if the merger will collapse or will not push through? Is it possible that a T-Mobile iPhone 4S will arrive before Q2? Or, a T-Mobile iPhone 5 that will compete against AT&T?
AT&T recently unveiled its plan to purchase Qualcomm’s spectrum and the FTC or Federal Communications Commission will decide in the next 6 months if it will approve the buy.
Apparently, rumors also say that the next iPhone will include LTE or Long Term Evolution, so it is highly possible that AT&T will expand its 4G network to compete against Verizon’s wider coverage, and Sprint’s upcoming (planned) LTE network.
