Remains of the Day: Copycat cases

Apple’s got a new case on cases, first-generation iPod nano owners are turning into sixth-generation iPod nano owners, and Siri tickles the ivories (but not your funny bone). The remainders for Tuesday, December 20, 2011 are the sincerest form of flattery.

Apple Claims Samsung Tablet, Phone Cases Infringe Patents (Bloomberg Businessweek)

Samsung’s devices aren’t the only thing that Apple contends the Korea-based company copied from Cupertino’s designs. Apple may be swapping recalled iPod nanos with new models (iPodNN)

“Play it again, Siri” - A smartphone plays the piano (YouTube)

You might think Siri’s only good for making your appointments and reminding you to do things, but it has aspirations of its own! That’s pretty good, but until Siri can handle phonetic punctuation, it’s still no match for Victor Borge.

Super Bowl to be streamed online for first time (USA Today)

The U.S.’s biggest sporting event of the year, the world championship of pétanque Super Bowl, will be streamed on the Internet for the first time. To tune in, you’ll have to visit the NFL’s website or NBC’s website—Verizon Wireless customers can also watch via Verizon’s NFL Mobile app. Hopefully, there will be a feature to let me skip through the game and get to the ads.
