Sony Tablet S gets Playstation Store access

Finally! Something to put the S’s Tegra 2 chip to the test — not that these games require that much ‘oomph’.
Sony has just announced that the official PS store is now available, the online store that will deliver exclusive content to Sony’s Android-based PlayStation Certified devices which currently includes the Xperia Play smartphone, Tablet S and the dual-screen P tablet which will be released this coming November.

The Sony PlayStation store has about ten popular “Playstation One” game titles available for download upon today’s launch, with more game titles to follow, the list includes Cool Boarders, Destruction Derby, Hot Shots Golf 2, Jet Moto, Jet Moto 2, Jumping Flash, Motor Toon Grand Prix, Rally Cross, Wild Arms, and the highly popular MediEvil.
Tablet S owners will receive a notification on their device to let them know that the PS store is available in their area, from there on they simply have to follow the on-screen directions on how to download the PS Store App, upon installation, they can start downloading PS games for the Sony Tablet S. Sony has also stated in their blog that the PS store is currently available in nine countries which includes the U.S. and Canada, they’re also in the works with game developers to expand their software library for Android-based PlayStation devices.
Now, let’s all hope that Sony and Capcom are also in talks to release the classic Parasite Eve and Resident Evil series, that’s more than enough reason for me to save up for a Tablet S.
