Yes, the iPhone 5 rumors will continue until the release date in 2012. Plus, the iPhone 4S shows the “iPhone 5″ power.
Can’t get enough of the long-rumored iPhone 5 because you want a larger screen with more pixels per inch?
Well, here’s the latest rumors surrounding the unannounced Apple product which was the last true project of the late CEO Steve Jobs according to earlier reports.Aside from the Long Term Evolution, quad-core CPU and larger than 3.5-inch screen, the new rumor about the long-rumored iPhone 5 also includes information about the phone’s resolution and the ppi to beat is 326 courtesy of the iPhone 4 and the new iPhone 4S.
According to Macerkopf.de, Apple is now reportedly testing new components for the iPhone 5 and the new under the hoodie power will be able to support the higher-res screen. The report is claiming that engineers are now esting GPU drivers that might achieve higher resolutions of 1280 x 720 and 1440 x 800.
Apparently 720p is the resolution being used by Samsung’s new phone, the Galaxy Nexus and HTC’s new Rezound 4G, but based on Apple’s devices history, it is highly possible that Apple will try its best to offer a better screen, or it may use a 4-inch screen and implement the 720p resolution to meet more pixels per inch.
We’ll know more about the new iPhone 5 next year, obviously, and application developers will surely talk about because they will need to reprogram their applications if Apple will adopt larger screen and higher resolution.
Speaking of rumors, last week’s posts say the iPhone 5 will arrive in stores on October 2012, following the footsteps of the new iPhone 4S which was released on October 14th.
In related news, Apple’s new iPhone 4S is the top smartphone last month according to the latest data provided by Canaccord. The Canaccord Genuity’s data revealed that the iPhone 4S is the best-selling phone for the month of November replacing the Apple iPhone 4 and the Samsung Galaxy S2 of Sprint last quarter.
The firm added that Apple is expected to sell at least 30.5 million iPhone 4S this month due to strong demand especially in new markets like China, Brazil and Russia. But in United Kingdom, Apple reportedly has failed to become the UK’s best-selling handset during its launching month due to supply issues. Apple’s biggest rival, Samsung, reportedly grabbed the top spot courtesy of the Samsung Galaxy S II.
The bottom line, Apple’s new iPhone 4S shows the “iPhone 5″ power even without the larger screen or new design. But here’s the catch, Android is growing and obviously improving.
Apple’s new iPhone 5 MUST include a larger screen and a new design to avoid losing market share. Oh by the way, have you seen the new Google Android Ice Cream Sandwich?
