Verizon stores started receiving Galaxy Nexus or SCH-I515.
Rumor alert, a new post is claiming that Verizon might release the Galaxy Nexus on the 10th or 15th of December. The new dates appear after the December 9th rumor was dismissed by Droid-Life.
Yes, aside from Best Buy stores, Verizon Wireless stores are already receiving the Samsung Galaxy Nexus with Long Term Evolution technology flavor.
According to a report posted by Droid Guy which includes photos of the Galaxy Nexus boxes with SCH-1515 code, Verizon stores have the phone already and they’re might start selling the device on Sunday, December 11. The site wrote, “We heard from one of our most reliable ninjas that we could be looking at a Sunday launch. Now Sunday launches don’t jive with traditional Verizon Wireless launch dates but this particular ninja has never been wrong. Having said that, he felt about 75% on a Sunday launch.”
The Android-centric blog also added that another source is claiming that December 15 release date is also possible, largely due to the fact that Verizon loves Thursday.
Either way, the Verizon Wireless Galaxy Nexus will arrive before the Christmas week.
Yesterday, Android Central reported that selected Radio Shack will offer the Verizon Galaxy Nexus, and some stores are already receiving the phone. The report added that the Verizon Galaxy Nexus is expected to use the $299.99 retail price on a new plan or an upgrade, or if unactivated or off-contract, a customer reportedly must pay $799.99 for each Verizon Galaxy Nexus smartphone.
Correction: Sunday is on December 11 and not 10.
